Week #55 - I'm Still Alive

What a week!

Life has been crazy, lots of ups and downs but whatcha going to do that's just life! :)

I have made the determination that Arkansas drivers are the Utah drivers in the South. They are just really not very good at obeying traffic rules... I can't tell you how many people run red lights!

It actually got super cold this week! Thanks for sending the tights! I actually had to pull out some of my winter outfits. Not that I am complaining. I much prefer the cold to the hot humidity. Plus I feel like my winter wardrobe is a lot cuter than my summer wardrobe. Gotta see the plus-es where you can.

Ummmm....I can't believe I am on transfer #10! Where did the time go? And Halloween decorations out already? (I really don't like Halloween, especially as a missionary) Everything just gets creepier at night when you have to be out knocking doors and there are really weird decorations.

(side note: Hey, mom... I've been having headaches daily ranging on a pain scale of 1-7. I've talked to the area nurse and she said that they were most likely stress induced... I've been taking ibprofen, I even invested in some migraine relief pills... but they really have been doing nothing... I am pretty sure that the headaches aren't coming from dehydration... I have been trying to do deep breathing and some progressive relaxation techniques but they really only help for a couple of moments... do you have any suggestions?)

There was an awesome fiestas patrias activity that our branch put on to celebrate a lot of the independence days in south and central america. It was pretty awesome. Lots of good food and awesome music. Even some traditional folk dances, those really made me miss dancing...

Thanks for the gluten free pizza recipe. You are going to have to try it out and then let me know if it is worth trying!

Yup....I don'y know nothing super out of the ordinary happened this week...
Something exciting that is happening next week is that Elder Zwick is coming to our mission and we will get to have a zone conference with him! Boo-yeah! (yup Elder Zwick the once who talked about "What were you thinking?" in general conference!)

We are going on bike week today... oh wait, I mean walk week because Hermana Stevens still isn't allowed to get on a bike. I am planning on my shoes finally breaking through... I was hoping they would last until the end of October but I think realistically they will only make it to the middle of this week before they have gigantic holes in the soles... so I'm excited to send pictures of those.

Ummmm....yeah, that's mostly it for this week.
I've learned that stressing out about being stressed is a vicious cycle. It's better to just avoid that. Allow yourself to be stressed, that's fine just don't freak out about it.

The gospel is true. And it is even truer in Spanish!

Love,
Hermana Ives
